All About Episode 38

Last Thursday certainly was a good time to be a Sun Devil fan.  Must have felt pretty good as a newcomer to ASU football to watch that beat down.  Can you imagine if that was your first time at Sun Devil Stadium?  A new coach, the Devil Walk, new quarterback, exciting play-makers on offense and a highly aggressive style of defensive attack.  I hope last week set a new precedent in hope for all fans.

This week we breakdown the Lumberjacks game and move on to preview one of our two pivotal non-conference match-ups against the Fighting Illini.  Think back to last year and how an injury ravaged Sun Devil squad led by Dennis Erickson limped into Champage with a beat up Evan Finkenberg and Garth Gerhardt on the offensive line, not to mention a soon-to-be injured Cameron Marshall.  We began to see the warts of this squad in this game before the complete breakdown in the 2nd half of the season.

In the 2012 edition of the match-up between schools of the B1G Ten and PAC-12 injuries are again a major subject matter.  Illinois QB Nathan Scheelhaase has an injured ankle but was able to suit up for practice on Wednesday.  ASU will be very thin along the defensive line, not to mention the secondary.

It all pits for a great match-up for the Maroon Monsoon that is about to hit 7:30pm at Sun Devil Stadium this Saturday.  Be sure to listen into the show for more in-depth analysis of the two games mentioned as well as the Band of the Week, Shred Kelly, not to mention what we are drinking.
