Monday Morning Twitter Pages: Bizarro Edition

It’s been ten days since ASU reclaimed the Territorial Cup with a win over that school down South.  In those ten days, Todd Graham was fired as the head football coach of the Sun Devil football program.  The men’s basketball team is ranked number 16 in the nation.  And a former NFL head coach and current ESPN talking head was named the new CEO/Head Coach.  There’s a new narrative being written in Sun Devil nation, one that seems littered with more questions than answers.

Twitter Pages is not one to provide hard hitting questions, or elaborate explanations.  While many Sun Devil fans currently find themselves armed with pitchforks and torches over Coach Edwards.  An open mind and a wait and see approach may be the preferred mindset for this new journey.  The biggest defense of the ‘why the hell not’ theory of letting the Coach Herm experiment play out are these simple facts.  There have been twenty-three different head coaches at ASU, none averaging more than eight wins per season (as Arizona State University).  The overall winning percentage of all ASU coaches is just .614.  In just six years, former coach Todd Graham averaged the second most wins in program history at 7.6 wins a year.  As Albert Einstein once said, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

It may have not been pretty, or the most logically driven coaching search in the history of college football, but it’s in the books.  Speaking of logic, yes it’s actually Tuesday morning.  However, some would say this is not any stranger than naming Herman Edwards as the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils.  Welcome to bizarro world and Monday Morning Twitter pages on a Tuesday.

About Kevin Camp

Kevin Camp

Kevin is a '96 Sun Devil grad of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Contrary to his last name, Kevin is not one to stay in one place too long. Kevin has called Washington, Arizona, Utah, and again Arizona home since his days at ASU nearly 20 years ago. A passion for photography in his spare time turned to a great opportunity to shoot Sun Devil sporting events. He has photographed Sun Devils football at Camp T, Tempe practices, Utah, and Colorado while shooting some basketball and baseball as the teams visited Utah. Now that Kevin resides in Flagstaff, he is looking forward to reigniting the family tradition of Camp T with his wife and son. Kevin is also the VP of the ASU Alumni Association Flagstaff club.

Thank you. It is interesting to read what other people think about it. I personally will not express my opinion. Them have already been expressed enough.
