Never Too Early for 2015 Recruiting

One week ago, Arizona State head coach Todd Graham and his staff signed their third full recruiting class to join the football program. Even though the next recruiting class won’t be signed for 51 more weeks, the Arizona State coaches are already getting ready for the recruiting class of 2015.

The Sun Devils already have two 2015 verbal commitments from the state of Texas: running back Morie Evans from Huntsville and linebacker Nick Ralston from Argyle. Recruiting services have reported that linebacker Santana Sterling from Chandler Hamilton would join the program in 2015 as a grayshirt, and it is possible that 2014 verbal commit defensive back Jordan Thomas, who did not end up signing with the Sun Devils, could grayshirt as well.

With the wonderful world of Twitter, the following 2015 football prospects claim offers from Arizona State either on their personal Twitter accounts or through recruiting services analysts:

QB Jarrett Stidham Stephenville, TX 6’4” 190 lbs, 4star Scout
QB Bryce Perkins Chandler, AZ 6’3” 180 lbs, 3star Scout
QB Brian Lewerke Phoenix, AZ 6’3” 180 lbs, 3star Scout
RB Paul Lucas Phoenix, AZ 5’11” 180 lbs, 3star Scout

TE Chris Clark Avon, CT 6’6” 245 lbs, 3star Rivals, 3star Scout
OL Zach Okun Newbury Park, CA 6’3” 310 lbs 4star Scout/Rivals

DT Khalil Davis Blue Springs, MO 6’2” 260 lbs, 3star Scout, 4star Rivals
DT Carlos Davis Blue Springs, MO 6’3” 270 lbs, 4star Scout, 3star Rivas
DT Darrion Daniels Dallas, TX 6’4” 275 lbs, 4star Scout/Rivals

DE Cassius Peat Tempe, AZ 6’2” 210 lbs, 4star Scout, 3star Rivals
DE Keith Joseph, Jr. Pascagoula, MS 6’3″ 225 lbs, unranked
LB Kyahva Tezino Los Angeles, CA 6’0” 200 lbs, 4star Scout/Rivals
DB Dechaun Holiday San Marcos, CA 6’2” 190 lbs, 4star Rivals/Rivals

Looking inside the state of Arizona, the class of 2015 is not as deep in Division 1 prospects as the class of 2014. However, the top tier 2015 talent is extremely comparable to 2014 as Kirk is a top offensive play maker, Walker is a powerful lineman who can start immediately, and Lewerke is a big armed quarterback. These are the next three in-state targets that the coaching staff wants to “stay true to ASU”. Examining offers outside the state of Arizona, the coaching staff is making offers from coast to coast with prospects from Connecticut to Missouri to Louisiana and Texas, and over to California and Washington.

If the Arizona State coaching staff repeats its same schedule as last year, then expect key Junior Days on campus for Class of 2015 prospects during the spring followed by summer camps in key locations like Texas and Northern California. It is a long time until Signing Day 2015, but the Arizona State staff has already started their plans in hopes to make the recruiting class of 2015 better than this years class.
