No doubt, we all love ASU apparel. The endless possibilities of logos including Sparky, the “A & S”, the pitchfork and sayings like Fear the Fork and High Octane or just the simple lettering of Arizona State make us smile. Any of those shirts will get ready for game day, provided they are the appropriate fan designated color for the game. If you’re like me, though, and I know many lady Devils are, you like the occasional unique ASU apparel. I personally don’t want to match a bunch of other ladies at the game. The good new is that there are a ton of awesome unique Sun Devil apparel options out there for other women like me. So, where do you shop for these different game day styles? That’s the even better news, you shop from the comfort of your own place, in your yoga pants with a glass of wine.
Online shopping can be tricky, especially for clothing for the ladies, but I’ve found if you go with online boutiques specializing in ladies apparel, their sizing guides are pretty spot on. So, my Sun Devil sisters, grab that glass of wine now, and enjoy some shopping for all your game day needs. Here, I’ll outline some of my favorite places to get styled for game day.
First off, if you are attached to the idea of having to see the product in person and try it on, then my recommendation is Cactus Sports on Mill Ave (not to mention the fact you’re supporting a locally owned ASU alum business) . They have a great selection of ASU apparel and gifts for everyone. Of course, Sparky’s Stadium Shop and the campus bookstore are other great options, but you’re sure to match many of your Sun Devil family members at the game should you opt for one of those places. If you’re looking for something a little different, a little more fashion meets team apparel rather than just a ladies cut tee, then one of the online boutiques is definitely for you!
Many websites specialize in ladies game day apparel. Although many of them specialize on SEC teams because of the stereotypically more dressed up ladies at games a la the Kentucky Derby, I have found several options with great Sun Devil selections.
If you’re looking for on trend fashion with a little team style combined, consider Gameday Couture, which was recently featured on the television show, Shark Tank. With options from ASU puffer vests to lace jerseys to simple tees, Gameday Couture definitely brings fashion to getting dressed for game day while still maintaining casual, comfortable style. Options here range from about $40-$60.
If you love the SEC girls game day style, then definitely check out Sideline Sweetie. This online shop focuses on team color dress styles ranging from shift to maxi dresses. Their ASU selection includes options ranging from $42-$98 and are a great option not only for game days, but for a dress any spring, summer or fall day in Phoenix.
College Hautees is another online option that has a unique mix of tees, tanks, dresses and even blazers and kimonos in ASU colors. The styles here vary immensely and start as low as $8 for a gold halter to $60 for a maroon striped fleece blazer.
For last week’s maroon monsoon, I got my top at Impressions Online Boutique. Browse their Game Day Glam selection for several Sun Devil styles sure to get you excited for the next ASU game. In addition to couture tees and other fun style tops, shorts and skinny pants, Impressions offers some jewelry options in Sun Devil colors. Prices here range widely given the varied options of tops, bottoms and jewelry.
Not to be forgotten is Fans Edge. Although this site is not dedicate to women’s apparel nor to collegiate teams, the company does a great job providing a large selection. With nearly 400 options of women’s Sun Devil apparel alone, you’re sure to find something you love for game day.
So, sit back in the comfort of your couch, put your feet up and have fun shopping for ASU gear. Given the lackluster way ASU football looked against USC, at least a new Sun Devil outfit will lend some guaranteed excitement to the next home game, a black out, against Colorado. With the black out up next and the nearing of Arizona fall weather, grab yourself some fun new threads for game days when we can trade the tank tops for hoodies. I might be jumping the gun for hoodie season by a month or two, but a girl can dream.
