Pac-12 2013 Staff Predictions

on

Our staff sat down and predicted overall and conference records for each Pac-12 team in 2013, along with the overall winner, the winner of each division, and the offensive player, defensive player, and freshman of the year.

A few trends emerged, as most of the staff selected Stanford and Arizona State to meet in Palo Alto for the Pac-12 Championship Game, with Stanford winning that game.

Some favorites emerged in the awards as well, with Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon as the favorite for offensive player of the year, Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA and Will Sutton, DT, ASU emerging for the favorites for defensive player of the year, and Cal QB Jared Goff and UCLA DE Eddie Vanderdoes emerging as favorites for freshman of the year.

These are all predictions, UCLA should be a better team for example, but the strength of their schedule is such that they’ll more than likely not have as successful of a season otherwise, and if Washington plays the rest of the season like they played against Boise State, then they could be a dark horse for the Pac-12 North.

We’ll just have to sit back and see how it all plays out.
