November brought a close to the regular season for the Sun Devils with a two-point loss in Berkely at the hands of the California Golden Bears. Great expectations to begin the season were not met as the team finished with just six wins overall, 4-5 in conference play. The Sun Devils started November with a third straight loss in a shootout with Washington State, but then reeled off back-to-back wins including a Territorial Cup win over that team down South. While the defense had its trouble throughout the year, our Tempe Camera Player of November emerged as a true leader as his play became increasingly more dominant each week.
Senior Devil-backer Antonio Longino failed to make either All-Conference team despite leading the Pac-12 in sacks, tackles for loss, and being named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for consecutive weeks, the first Sun Devil to ever have that honor while playing offense or defense for the school. Longino finished November with 21 tackles and 6 sacks and his season numbers helping to close out a season that included 60 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, and 10 sacks.
